Random-ass song stuck in my head today:
"Just My Imagination" by The Temptations
I have no idea why.
I have this problem, and I think many of you can relate. I get songs in my head for no apparent reason. I sing to myself all the time. So far this morning, two songs have appeared with no apparent rhyme or reason.
"Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey
"What It's Like" by Everlast
I plan to keep track of random songs in my head on this blog, because it interests the hell out of me. Mainly I am curious as to what causes these songs to surface. Sometimes, there is a logical explanation (unconsciously overheard in a department store, on the alarm clock in the morning, etc), but often I am clueless as to why they appear.
As information, singing Journey can be especially trying on your vocal cords. Particularly the part that goes, "Street lights, peeeooopppppllleeee!!!!!" The people bit is ridiculously high.
Today,
Laura Bush criticized the Burmese government's response to Tropical Cyclone Nargis. I agree with her; the military leadership sucks ass.
From the article:
She called the junta's response to the cyclone "the most recent example of the junta's failure to meet its people's basic needs."
Clearly, Burma should look to the United States for guidance in this regard.
